Who We Are
The Klamath Soil and Water Conservation District is a local unit of government -- a "special district" under Oregon law. It is administered by a board of locally elected Directors who voluntarily serve staggered 4-year terms. Conservation Districts are authorized to provide technical assistance to farmers, ranchers, citizens; and county, state and federal government agencies. Conservation Districts are not regulatory or enforcement agencies; nor are they activist or environmental groups.
The Klamath SWCD Board consists of the following elected volunteers:
Earl Miller, Chairman
Glenn Lorenz, Vice-Chairman
Jason Hagerty, Secretary-Treasurer
Martin Kerns
Al King
Bill Rust
Joe Watkins
